Simply Chilling

No, I'm not simply chilling, but rather, this finding is simply chilling: Phil Bronstein is Henry Rollins.

Don't know who Phil Bronstein is? Don't care? Well perhaps you might like to know that he's the publisher of a certain newspaper called The San Francisco Chronicle. Ringing any bells yet?

Just thought you'd like to know. I mean, what if it really is Henry Rollins masquerading as a straight-forward newspaper man instead of the sad guy urban poet ex punk rocker man he really is? I mean what if? What next?

Does Anyone Know...

That I am not left-handed?
That I cannot speak French despite the title of this work of art?
That sadly my telephone number spells no English word?

And finally,

That I once owned a pale pink banana-seat bicycle dubbed The Pink Garbage Can?

Isn't that amazing?

Dirty Song Secrets

For some (and I won't name names) Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette, Maxi Preist, or Ashlee Simpson are responsible for these dirty song secrets -- a song you love but would hate anyone to know you love. For me it is the indubitable Michelle Branch. The song, Game of Love. Some of the lyrics, so catchy so cloying sweet:

Just takes a little bit of this, a little bit of that
Started with a kiss, now we're up to bat
A little bit of laughs, a little bit of pain
I’m telling you my babe it’s all in the game of love
It’s all in this game of love
You've no doubt heard this song before, been forced to endure its entire three minutes. I can't really tell you why I like this song that is so drastically different than any other I'd usually like. My musical taste is much more sophisticated than TRL. I read Pitchfork. That said, I when this song comes on the radio, I cannot turn away and I have found myself lingering in Rite Aid just to hear those haunting Santana hot licks and the thin cheery voice of Ms. Branch.
What do you have to say for yourselves?

Spread it friends...

Or don't. But at least take a look at what Mr.E.Midwesterner has to say about a couple of friends called Garfeld and Peenuz...
